Flodesk Tutorial: How to Resend to Unopens With One Click

If you were hesitant to switch to Flodesk because there seemed to be no easy way to resend your email campaigns to subscribers who didn’t open it the first time, then I have good news. Even better, excellent news!

And all it takes is a single click.

OK—actually four clicks but you can do it in less than a minute!

How to resend a campaign email to unopens?

First of all, you need an email that was already sent out. No surprise here, otherwise resending wouldn’t make sense.

And of course, you need at least one person who hasn’t opened it the first time the email was sent out.

Now that we have clarified this, all you need to do is to select an email and hover over it to see the magic three dots (…) in the upper right corner. And the first option now is to ‘Resend to unopens’.

When you click this resend to unopens button, it will direct you to the next page where it summarizes first how many subscribers didn’t open the email originally. They will be now your new recipients.

The next step brings you to the new subject line screen. You would want to tweak it so that the resent email has a higher or at least better chances to get opened.

Last but not least, you can decide to send it our now after you finished these small edits, or later.

Note that you have to wait until at least 24 hours have passed from the time of the first send. Flodesk won’t let you resend the email before that. This so that you give at least the chance for your subscribers to see the original email.

You know, life happens and sometimes it takes a little bit more time to open your emails. The best is to consider this when you’re emailing to your list.

And that was it. It just took 4 clicks and a new subject line, and the email is scheduled to be resent.

Updated statistics dashboard for email sends

With the new resend to unopens feature comes also a refreshed dashboard for statistics.

From now on, the figures will include the insights from your resent email. How many people opened it, and how your open rate and click rate changed/increased.
